Mutesi Gasana is a Rwandan author and publisher who has dedicated her career to promoting children’s literature and fostering a culture of reading in Rwanda. As the founder of Ubuntu Publishers and Arise Education, she has been instrumental in creating and distributing culturally relevant stories that resonate with young readers.

Her journey into writing and publishing began in 2008, driven by a desire to provide Rwandan children with stories that reflect their heritage and values. Mutesi has authored over 10 children’s books, eight of which have been approved by the Rwanda Basic Education Board (REB) for use in schools. In addition to her writing, Mutesi has worked tirelessly to support the growth of the Rwandan publishing industry. Uwiduhaye Faustin

Uwiduhaye Faustin is an inspiring 11-year-old author from Musanze, Rwanda, who has shown extraordinary vision and courage through his writing. Despite his young age, Faustin has become a passionate advocate for children’s rights and the fight against child pregnancy.

His book, Fifi Umukobwa W’Amakenga (Fifi, the Wise Girl), serves as a powerful tool for raising awareness about the dangers of engaging with “sugar daddies” and the societal challenges that contribute to child pregnancy.
